The Cavalchina Grand Dance is yet another side event occasioned by the Venice Carnival. The difference is La Cavalchina is a highly exclusive event, with tickets which don’t exceed the limit of a several hundreds, and thus selling out very quickly. People interested in participating to Cavalchina Grand Dance should definitely keep posted with the event’s preparatory phases in order to make sure they will not be left out.

The Cavalchina Grand Dance is basically a ball where guests are invited to wear the specific outfit of the 19th century Venetian aristocracy, costumes, jewels and fans included. The event is held at Teatro La Fenice, when the venue is turned, even for a night, into a sumptuous and elegant ballroom. The music shows are offered by the theater’s orchestra, playing both traditional and modern repertoires. The dancing and the music are accompanied by food and wine sampling opportunities (despite the fact no dinner proper is organized, a generous and refined buffet and open bar are set up in the ballroom).
